Venue and Accommodations

The conference will be held at the Qualcomm Auditorium in Atkinson Hall on the UCSD campus. 

The icebreaker event will be held from 17:00-20:00 on Sunday April 10 at the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club. The event will be informal, and please plan on taking your shoes off in the sand. It is recommended to bring a light sweater as the temperature will drop after sunset (19:15). Drinks and light appetizers will be served.

The conference dinner will be held at Casa De Reyes in Old Town, San Diego. We will depart together from the conference venue at 17:30 after the honorary lecture. 

We will have an informal and optional brewery visit after the in-person sessions are finished on Tuesday April 12, and will leave from campus together around 17:00.

Multiple hotels are available in La Jolla Village, La Jolla Shores, around the UCSD campus near the conference venue, and along the Blue Line Trolley. A detailed list will be provided to conference attendees after the early-bird registration deadline. 

There is no room block for this conference. Delegates are recommended to book rooms directly with the hotels.

It is recommended to travel by air to San Diego International Airport, which offers direct flights from Europe, Asia and many US cities.  

Use of ride share applications (Uber, Lyft) or taxis is recommended to reach hotels in the La Jolla area, which is 20-30 minutes north of the airport.  

The Blue Line Trolley currently provides easy access to the UCSD campus from other parts of San Diego. The stop on campus is a short walk to the conference venue.
